Matha Prasanna in police custody

• The bail plea of Prasannakumari alias Matha Prasanna of Ezhukone was rejected by the First Class Judicial Magistrate Court, Kottarakara. Her remand has been extended to June 4. She was sent to police custody till evening on Saturday.
• Another criminal case was registered against her on Saturday. Assistant Public Prosecutor A R Laiju said a cheating case under crime number 277/2008 was filed against her for cheating a retired Sub-registrar of Rs.5.5 lakh.
