Sun Outage
sun outage is an interruption in or distortion of geostationary satellite signals caused by interference from solar radiation.
The effect is due to the sun's radiation overwhelming the satellite signal.

Sun outage is similar in behavior to a rain fade. The high energy level and broadband nature of the sun's energy can overpower a satellite's downlink .
