  1. All institutions are alike, whether it is political, religious or commercial including news medea. They mutually support to further their cause since everybody who is in top of the hirearchy knows that the followers or in general the common men can always be brain washed by their propoganda and misinformation and by creating confusion. Ironically the arrested persons knew well that they hurted the pious diety and did not trust them that is why their advocates are all "heathen". Also as every wise men know, religion is just a tool for atheist to use 'poor'people and all the three in their heart are atheist though they pretend contrary not only for just living but to live in 'rich'. Many tried their best, includiong K M Mani who survives by 'condescending' and there by having a large 'followers'.But there are always some spirited people, who are demoralised by instituionlism, who eventually manage to penetrate through them.

I also want to say another aspect of this case which non catholics rarely understand. The celibacy of nuns and priests and their pious living is way different from other religious order that is why the top brass of the diocese tried their best to coverup this case, which in a different prespective is just a common killing. Also the cause for the killing is trivial: witnessing a sexcapades which is way too common and not worth mentioning in a general prespective but very imporatant and 'relegiously prohibited' that forced the trio to kill the witness.

  2. Just wanted to mention that the court has yet to make it's decision as to whether the three clergy members are guilty or not.

I hope this is not an out-lash against the Christian community as there has been strong anti-Christian sentiments throughout India lately. I've always prided Kerala on being the most secular state, with people of all religions being able to live in peace together without fear of discrimination.

Also, whatever evidence CBI brings forth better be legitmate. I am so appalled when I hear about their sources being Narco-tests (hugely unreliable)and forced virginity tests (complete violation of human rights).

  3. Previously I was feeling that these priests and nun were culprits. But now I am convinced that they are innocent. Reasons follow.

About in 1997 I read an article in ‘Crime’ published from Calicut the same story with the photos of these priests. After they were arrested I read the news in ‘Indian Express’ making us believe that on that particular night both these priests were having sex with Sr Sephy, Sr Abhaya saw that action, so they killed Sr Abhaya. This hypothesis is absurd because if they were having sex, then no clothes. Without wearing clothes they would not have attacked Abhaya. If so, Abhaya could have sufficient time to run away. Moreover. indulging sex is not a crime at all be it priests and nuns. May be related to morality but not crime.

Secondly nobody will commit sex in open hall. May be in closed room. So no chance for Abhaya to see it.

The recent story is that Sr Sephy is having hymen in tact. I believed till recently that this particular sr was copulated by many and her equipment was hollow. I also thought she wearing a nun’s uniform was a real ‘whore’. Now I repent. Now the medical report says she is having hymen in tact which means during 46 years nothing entered in her vagina. If she is virgin, then the whole story collapses.

Next the story of CBI that her hymen was made intact by surgery is not believable. Any lady if tasted sex once will repeatedly do it whoever she is. Now CBI says she underwent plastic surgery and kept her hymen intact [for 16 long years]. Is it possible that a lady indulges in sex, next day she performs plastic surgery, again indulges in sex, again does plastic surgery and so on. This is un believable.

Next the suggestion that she kept her hymen by surgery intact is not correct. In India such a surgery is not common even now. Then what about 16 years ago ? This surgery costs minimum five lakhs now. We can not go such extreme.

Also that convent was not exclusively for nuns. Hostelites were also there. Why not to get the address of even one inmate at that time and record statement. Let CBI collect the addresses of all the inmates at that time and collect evidence. It should not be based on some presumptions. I feel even the judges are also biased. What about the unexecuted warrant against Delhi Imam by the same High Court ?

When Augustine died, suicide or murder, these priests and nun were under custody. The force which abetted Augustine’s death, if not CBI, were not definitely these priests and nun. Why CBI is not tracing them?
